Anglo Irish Bank, is an Irish bank. (Not to be mistaken for Allied Irish Banks or AIB, which is also an Irish bank).
In September 1998 Credit Lyonnais Austria A.G. ("CLA") was acquired.
In March 1999 the Smurfit Paribas Bank Limited bank ("SPB") was acquired.
The Banque Marcuard Cook & Cie bank was acquired in April 2001. The bank is now operates under the name Anglo Irish Bank Suisse SA.
The company made €504.1m in the financial year 2004 (1). Chief Executive Seán FitzPatrick announced in late 2004 that he would step down in 2005.
