China Netcom ((NYSE: CN)) (or China Netcom Corporation Limited), is company which offers a variety of wireline telecommunication services in China.
The company is a subsidiary of China Network Group Hong Kong, which itself is a subsidiary of the holding China Network Communications Group ([1]).
CNC is widely seen as the number two fixed-line operator in China after China Telecom, and operates a semi-mobile xiaolingtong (aka "Personal Access Standard", or PAS) system.
