The Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center is a AAA Three Diamond hotel in Tempe, Arizona. It is located near a number of important venues and organizations in Tempe, including the Arizona State University and Sun Devil Stadium, the Tempe Diablo Stadium, and the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The hotel has 303 standard guest rooms that contain king or queen size beds, as well as six suites in three different styles – the Jacuzzi Suite, the Hospitality Suite, and the Executive King Suite. All rooms and suites are decorated in Southwestern décor.

Tempe Mission Palms Hotel is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, and is a member of four Destination Hotels & Resorts Collections: the Meetings Collection, the Family Collection, the City Collection, and the Weddings & Events Collection.


There are a variety of restaurants at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and each one offers a different style of cooking and atmosphere. The Mission Grille is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and specializes in contemporary American cuisine. Harry’s Place is an indoor/outdoor lounge that offers specialty cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. And the rooftop Terrace Cabana offers poolside cocktails and snack foods.

The Rooftop is one of the recreation areas at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel, and features a rooftop pool, 2 whirlpools, a tennis court, and a basketball hoop, as well as the Terrace Cabana.

The hotel has a fitness center that contains a variety of exercise equipment, including treadmills, stair steppers, stationary bikes, Nautilus equipment, and free weights.

The Tempe Mission Palms Hotel provides a free shuttle to the ASU-Karsten Golf Course, which is the closest golf course to the hotel. Also, located 20 miles away in Scottsdale, Arizona, is the TPC Scottsdale, which is the venue for the FBR Open.

Area Attractions
The hotel is located near a number of area attractions. On Mill Avenue and in the Old Downtown Tempe shopping districts, there are over 170 distinctive stores, galleries, restaurants, and entertainment venues. For outdoor adventure activities, there are a variety of locations where guests can hike, bike, and go kayaking. Less strenuous outdoor activities include a visit to the Tempe Beach Park, Papago Park, the Desert Botanical Gardens, and the Phoenix Zoo.


The conference and meeting facilities at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center have met the standards required for IACC (International Association of Conference Centers) certification, and offer 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. They provide a variety of equipment for meetings, including video/data projection SVGA & XVGA equipment, computer data displays, 35mm and overhead projectors, videoconferencing and teleconferencing equipment. Additional services include a professional conference services manager, conference concierge, and a business center. Each room is set up for telecommunications, with features including ISDN lines for videoconferencing, fiber optic wiring, and data ports in every meeting room.

There are 16 different meeting rooms, including both the Palm Ballroom and the Abbey, which can each be broken into six smaller rooms, and two smaller rooms, respectively. The 16 meeting rooms range in size from 624 square feet to 9,384 square feet, and can hold anywhere from 14 - 900 guests. The largest space is the Palm Ballroom, which provides 9,384 square feet of meeting space, and can hold up to 900 guests in a reception format.
