netSite DA is a Norwegian web design company that develop custom made websites. The office is located in Skodje.
The company use a Content Management System (CMS) to simplify further modifying of the webpage content, and they offer complete packages for clients that desire a profile on the internet - including domain, hosting and email.
The company was founded in 2004 by 5 students from Aalesund College University.
History
The company was first founded as a student business in Janurary, 2003 in Ålesund (Norway) after an initiative by Lars Føleide. Lars Føleide was at this time studying for a bachelor in Export Marketing, and had just finished his engineer degree in Computer Science. The student business was limited to a life span of 12 months, but they all decided to continue as a real company due to the success and the fact that all of them enjoyed working with web related projects.
In June 2004 netSite held their first official meeting, where all the important agreements were made and necessary papers signed. 3 of the coworkers were active the first year, and managed to accumulate total earnings to 100 000 NOK before the year ended, despite being students.
Some co-owners have continued studying on a master level, while others have found more steady work while combining that with their efforts in netSite.
As of August 2005 the company has had 11 customers of various size.
The company is privately held and 100% owned by the company employees.
