Management on Demand

Definition Management on DemandTM is a flexible form of Human Resource Management that allows to satisfy temporary and permanent executive recruitment and investment needs on a national and international level within an extremely short time frame.

How does it work? Having access to a daily updated manager pool worldwide, agencies offering Management on Demand present a small but well matched selection of suitable candidates within one week. The selection comprises only candidates that have already replied positively to the offered position and are available immediately to ensure that the position can be filled within three weeks. Furthermore, the client company has the choice between managers and mangers-investors, which are ready to join a company as manager but are also willing to invest their own funds into the company. The company can then choose between a temporary assignment based on a service contract (Interim Management assignment) of the selected manager or a permanent recruitment. Alternatively the client company can start with the interim option and switch to a permanent contract at any time.


History

Reacting to the changing environment in the top executive recruitment market, Patrick Mataix, founder of an international executive recruitment agency introduced this new form of managerial involvement to give global companies more flexibility.

Factors

There are several factors that differentiate Management on DemandTM from other forms of management.

Timing: The client receives a first selection of candidates within one week and can recruit the final candidate within two to three weeks in any chosen country.

Contractual flexibility: The client can choose a service contract for interim management assignments, including an option to turn the interim period into a permanent recruitment with a notice period of seven days. Alternatively, the candidate can directly recruit the manager on a permanent basis.

Cost and risk: The principle of success fees make it virtually risk free.. Fees only apply when a manager has been selected for interview and/ or recruited in contrast to many head hunter agencies that ask for upfront payments.
