- "As of January 1 2007, Jesuits in the world number 19,216 (of which 13,491 priests, 3,049 scholastic students, 1,810 brothers and 866 novices). The average age of the Jesuits in 2007 is 57.3: 63.4 for priests, 29.8 for scholastics and 65.5 for Brothers." [1]
- The number of 4th vow Jesuits is currently unknown
- "The ranks of Jesuits are thinning. The congregation represented some 23,000 Jesuits on January 8, 1995, compared with 26,000 when it last convened in 1983, and 36,000 at the order's zenith in the mid-1960's." [2]
